Tripsdrill: New Water Playground “Spritzwerk” Opens
(eap) Just in time for the summer season, southern Germany’s amusement and animal park Tripsdrill has opened its new water playground “Spritzwerk”, offering fun and refreshment – especially on warm days.
Covering an area of around 70 square metres in front of the “Wilde Gautsche” giant swing, more than 20 play elements have been installed by manufacturer Vortex, including fountains, water cannons and tipping buckets.

The theming ties into the surrounding area, where the “Volldampf” rollercoaster – inspired by a railway folk song – takes its laps: with signal lights, level crossing signs and additional themed decorations, the Spritzwerk water playground is designed to resemble a railway crossing with a train wash facility in the Swabian region around the year 1880.
Following the “Pumpwerk”, the Spritzwerk is Tripsdrill’s second interactive water attraction. Other popular “summer day” attractions at the park include the “Bathtub Ride to the Fountain of Youth”, the “Wash Tub Rafting” and the family water ride “Mühlbach-Fahrt”. ■
