(eap) The Irrland leisure park in Twisteden on Germany’s Lower Rhine continues to specifically target its offering at families with children up to twelve years of age. The focus lies on extensive play landscapes that include both outdoor and indoor areas. The portfolio is complemented by more than ten water attractions. Only last year, this offering was further expanded with a dual body slide from Wiegand.Waterrides.

In the current season, the park is also investing in new play areas: In the “Irrland West” section, a themed playground by the Dutch company Speelmaatje has been created with the “Fishermen’s Village”. Covering an area of around 450 square meters, several wooden houses have been constructed that reflect the maritime theme. In addition to various climbing elements, a tube slide with a height of five meters is among the central elements.

In the “Irrland Nord” area, a redesigned carriage in the playable steam locomotive “Wolters Express” can also be discovered. This was implemented by Künstlerische Holzgestaltung Bergmann in the company’s original style, based on the theme of travel. Interactive elements and imaginative play areas – such as ticket-, ice cream- or pizza kiosks – are intended to stimulate the creativity of young guests.

More about successful concepts for experience-oriented play worlds can be found in our themed special in the current EAP issue 2/2026. ■
