New Sun World Aqua Adventure Water Park Opens in Vietnam

(eap) Just in time for the start of the Vietnamese Tết Nguyên Đán holidays (14-22 February 2026), Sun Group opened a new water park at Sun World Vung Tau (near Ho Chi Minh City, south-eastern Vietnam) last week. The 15-hectare Aqua Adventure water park is the centerpiece of the complex and comprises a total of 20 attractions, including two world records certified by the World Record Union (WorldKings) as well as several novelties for the Vietnamese market.

The water park is divided into four themed areas that take up and reinterpret motifs from Eastern and Western cultural history. As part of the official opening ceremony, two attractions were recognised as world firsts: “Aqua Warriors Battle” is considered the world’s first mat racer installation with ten lanes (RallyRACER model by ProSlide). “Adventure Oasis” was acknowledged as the longest water coaster for children (Mini Blaster model by WhiteWater West).
The broader portfolio also includes a 348-metre-long ProSlide Dueling RocketBLAST water coaster, complemented by several water play structures and slides specifically designed for younger visitors. With “Twist ’n’ Splash” by Mack Rides, an interactive water ride for the whole family has also been integrated. Furthermore, the park features a 6,000-square-metre wave pool – the largest to date within a Sun World destination – as well as a nearly 650-metre-long lazy river. The attraction portfolio is complemented by a comprehensive service and food & beverage offering designed to accommodate several thousand guests per day. ■
