(eap) The Zoo de Granby in Québec, Canada, combines a classical animal park with a range of amusement rides as well as the seasonally open Amazoo Water Park. In addition to four pools, an Adventure River, and a slide tower, it also features the water play area “Bassin Booshikë”, which is being transformed and scheduled to reopen this summer. For this purpose, the zoo is collaborating again with the Canadian manufacturer Vortex Aquatic Structures International, which had already provided the site’s existing play structure and Splashpad®.

The new concept includes three play areas with two multi-level Elevations™ structures. A large installation with three water slides is designed to provide attractions for children of various age groups. In addition, water games specifically designed for toddlers are being created in the shallow pool. A medium-sized Elevations™ structure with a wheelchair ramp will enable inclusive play.

The entire area will be themed to match the overall Amazonian atmosphere of the water park. An LED lighting system, powered by solar panels, will illuminate the area in the evening. ■
