Among them is the “Pariser Hjulet,” a small six-metre-high Ferris wheel in a nostalgic design, which was relocated from Gröna Lund. In addition, two brand-new attractions have been installed: the drop tower “FrittFall” and the wiper-style ride “Houdini.”

“FrittFall” is a 20-metre-high “Drop’n Twist Tower” manufactured by Italian company SBF-Visa, themed with a circus design. According to the manufacturer, the ride features a new program that combines harmony with action. It can accommodate up to 300 riders per hour – and thanks to newly developed over-the-shoulder restraints, the minimum height requirement has been reduced to 100 cm (resp. four years of age) when accompanied by an adult.

This attraction also features the new restraint system and has been approved for use accordingly. Its ride program features a custom configuration for the park.

Styled in red-and-blue Tivoli colours, the new rides bring a vibrant fairground atmosphere and complement Skara Sommarland’s existing offerings – centred around one of Scandinavia’s largest waterparks, typical for traditional summerland parks.

Operated by Parks and Resorts Scandinavia, Skara Sommarland began its 2025 season at the end of May. The park is currently in its peak season, which runs through September. ■
