(eap) Since this past weekend, the new Vitelliusbad in Wittlich, Germany, has been officially open to the public. The new combined indoor and outdoor pool facility replaces the former public bath, which closed in 2021, and is based on a comprehensive sports and leisure concept. Approximately 30 million euros were invested in this municipal project.

The Vitelliusbad offers, among other things, a 25-meter indoor sports pool equipped with AI-based monitoring to support the lifeguard staff, a 60-meter tube slide with daylight effects and digital timekeeping by Aquarena, toddler play areas both indoors and outdoors, a Finnish textile sauna, a 50-meter lap pool in the outdoor area, as well as an adventure pool with a wide slide.

The new facility, which was completed within three and a half years, is equipped with photovoltaic systems on the roof and in the outdoor areas, solar thermal energy, heat recovery systems, and a woodchip heating system.
