(eap) Located in Angers (Loire-et-Maine department), Western France’s Terra Botanica theme park has announced several novelties for its upcoming season. Among the new highlights of the park, which specializes in plants and biodiversity, is the 3,500-square-meter area “Le Potager de Cléamolette” (“Cléamolette’s Vegetable Garden”), offering a variety of surprises for visitors. The anchor attraction will be a track-guided tractor ride – supplied by Italian company Gosetto – through a lushly designed vegetable garden. “Visitors can take a seat in one of the ten tractor cabins, which have a capacity of 500 people per hour. The route takes them into the heart of a garden laboratory,” explains Damien Touboulic, who has been the park’s Managing Director since 2025. During the ride, guests discover scene by scene the botanical creations of the “scientist” Cléamolette, including giant vegetables, flying plant containers and a revolutionary irrigation system… Several creative companies were involved in the design of the new themed area, including Le Recyculteur, La Maison de la Rouille and Le Gros Lapin. Several French nurseries collaborated with the park on the landscaping.

Over the course of the season, visitors will be able to enjoy the splendid sight of more than 10,000 vegetable plants, nearly 4,000 annual flowering plants, 500 perennials, 200 shrubs and 40 trees. Several rare and lesser-known species will also be on display, including pistachio trees, Brazilian guava trees, Japanese pickling eggplants and snake gourds. With the new area, which combines an attraction with a space for strolling and exploration, Terra Botanica continues to pursue its objective of raising visitors’ awareness of the richness of the plant world and biodiversity through educational and immersive experiences.

"Terra Nocta" // Image: Courtesy of Terra Botanica Starting on April 11, the park will once again present its popular evening event “Terra Nocta” – now for the fifth time overall. At nightfall, an impressive light and sound setting will showcase the park landscape in a special way. New this year will be an almost 150-meter-long section dedicated to the element of water. In addition, the park has planned a new show featuring young artists from the Institut National des Arts du Music-Hall (INM) in Le Mans, to be performed twice daily and designed to delight guests with singing, dance, magic and acrobatic performances. ■
