Now Open: “Quantum Accelerator” at Six Flags New England

With the opening of “Quantum Accelerator”, Six Flags New England has added its 12th roller coaster to its attraction portfolio.

(eap) As of today, visitors to Six Flags New England can experience the coaster novelty “Quantum Accelerator”. With the new Family Launch Coaster by Intamin, the park expands its portfolio with a twelfth roller coaster, which is particularly characterized by its “straddle seating” as well as two launch sections.

The coaster vehicles, themed as steampunk hover bikes, are initially accelerated from zero to around 48 km/h (30 mph). A second launch halfway along the track increases the speed to up to 72 km/h (45 mph). Along the approximately 800-meter (2,604 feet)-long track, riders encounter, among other elements, an overbanked turn, a “Stengel dive”, and an airtime hill. The maximum height of the coaster is 18 meters (59 feet). Riders between 120 (48”) and 196 centimeters (77”) in height are permitted to ride.

“Quantum Accelerator is an exciting new addition that raises the bar for family thrill rides at Six Flags New England,” emphasizes Park Manager Bill Falzone. “Featuring a dual-launch system and an exhilarating straddle seat design, this coaster is sure to become a favorite among guests of all ages. It’s the perfect complement to our world-class lineup and reinforces Six Flags New England as the go-to destination for family fun in 2026”.

The new attraction is located in the “Crackaxle Canyon” themed area, which has been revitalized as part of the expansion. Both the “Screamore Gadgets” shop and the F&B outlets “Pemberton’s Refresh Station” and “JB’s Smokehouse” offer new options. In addition, the food and beverage offering throughout the park has been upgraded. ■
