(eap) Obermain Therme Bad Staffelstein in Upper Franconia, Bavaria, is expanding its five-star premium sauna complex by 6,000 square meters to a total of 21,000 square metres. Construction is currently in its final phase, with the new area scheduled to open at the end of this year.

The centrepiece of the expansion is the spacious “Tapahtuma” event sauna, where up to 190 guests will be able to enjoy exceptional sauna infusion ceremonies together. Further additions include a fire sauna, spacious relaxation rooms with panoramic views and mist showers. A shower building covering more than 100 square metres is also taking shape near the two saunas. Additional green spaces will provide room for relaxation and retreat.

The thermal spa, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, is carrying out the expansion project in cooperation with Austrian company devine wellness & spa international. ■
