(eap) UK-based indoor trampoline and activity park operator Oxygen Activeplay has announced the acquisition of Leisure Television Rights Ltd and the five Ninja Warrior UK® Adventure Parks operated by the company. With this acquisition, Oxygen Activeplay’s portfolio grows to a total of 18 park locations across England. The newly acquired sites are located in Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, Teesside, and Walsall. The Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park concept combines physical activity with playful challenges and is based on the popular TV show format “Ninja Warrior UK”, managed in the UK by ITV Studios on behalf of Tokyo Broadcasting System Television. In the Ninja Warrior parks, visitors can test their “ninja skills” – climbing, balancing, or swinging across a variety of obstacles – while improving their fitness and agility.

By integrating the five new locations, Oxygen Activeplay expands its portfolio of leisure park brands, which already includes ten Oxygen Activeplay parks, the Boost Leicester site, and the two RedKangaroo parks in Nottingham and Coventry. Since being acquired by Literacy Capital in 2021, the company has been pursuing a long-term growth strategy encompassing both acquisitions and new site developments.

Stephen Wilson, CEO at Oxygen Activeplay, said: “This latest acquisition is a major step forward in Oxygen’s goal to redefine the indoor leisure sector in the UK. Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Parks is a well-known and loved brand across the country and perfectly complements our ethos of creating fun and inclusive experiences for families that encourage staying active through play. Lou Black, SVP, Brand Licensing, ITV Studios said, “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Oxygen as the new operator of five Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Parks sites. Their reputation for delivering dynamic, people-focused experiences makes them a perfect fit for the brand and will help us take the experience to the next level, creating more immersive, connected adventures for fans of all ages.” The ITV Studios Brand Licensing department is responsible for all of the company’s global commercial activities, including sponsorship and brand licensing. ■
