PLAYMOBIL FunPark to Take Visitors on a 3D Photo Safari

The PLAYMOBIL FunPark in Zirndorf, Bavaria, which starts into this year’s season on March 27, will offer guests a new photo safari activity in 3D quality. In a total of seven theme areas in the park, there will be hidden QR codes that can be scanned with a smartphone in order to discover animals from all over the world – projected into the respective theme world. In addition, visitors will receive interesting and child-friendly information about the various animals via the “Wiltopia” app. Also, it will be possible to take original souvenir photos with the virtual animals, e.g. at the pirate ship or also at other popular locations in the park.

With the new 3D photo safari, which was developed in cooperation with the Hessian design studio Sensory-Minds (which specializes in new media & innovative technologies), PLAYMOBIL FunPark is offering virtual entertainment at the park for the first time. The aim of the 3D photo safari is to combine being active together, having fun and imparting knowledge. Thematically, the new offer fits into the PLAYMOBIL play series of “Wiltopia”, which has the motto “Know it. Love it. Protect it.” and wants to introduce children to the topics of nature and species conservation.

You can find out more about new offerings and attractions at Europe’s theme parks in our 2022/2023 Park Report, which will be published in the March/April issue of EAP. (eap)
