(eap) As was announced yesterday, California-based booking software provider Peek has acquired the two companies Connect&GO and ACME Ticketing. With this step, the company – whose customer base includes leisure operators such as museums, theme parks and tour providers – is expanding its portfolio of ticketing and operational management solutions for the leisure industry. At the same time, Peek has raised 70 million US dollars in new capital as part of a financing round led by growth equity firm Springcoast Partners. Existing investors such as WestCap and Goldman Sachs Alternatives, as well as technology entrepreneurs Eric Schmidt and Paul English, also participated.

According to the investor group, there would still be a need for progress in digitalization within the sector, as many operators are reportedly still not using online booking systems. With the acquisitions and the new growth capital, Peek aims to further develop its technical solutions and expand its offering for operators, CEO Ruzwana Bashir stated. The company’s AI-supported software functions include, among others, dynamic pricing and various AI agents for data analysis and fraud prevention. ■
