Pre-Expo Event: Charity Ride “Rebels with a Cause Poker Run”

(eap) Motorcycle and sports car enthusiasts are invited to hit the road for a good cause on Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. The “Rebels with a Cause Motorcycle and Sports Car Poker Run” aims at raising funds for the IAAPA Foundation and the “Breaking Barriers Grants Program”, which helps individuals facing employment challenges – such as disabilities or language barriers – gain access to job opportunities, in this case within the leisure and attractions industry.

© Photo: Courtesy of Premier Rides Participants will ride through Central Florida, stopping at designated locations to collect poker cards, network, and raise donations. The event will conclude with a group lunch and an exclusive tour of the new headquarters of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! World Entertainment in Orlando. The entry fee is 150 US dollars per person, with all proceeds going directly to the foundation, according to roller coaster manufacturer Premier Rides, one of the event’s main supporters. The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) will match all funds raised through the event.

Sara Seay of Premier Rides stated: “‘Rebels with A Cause’ is more than just a motorcycle ride. Raising money for a good cause on the Sunday before the IAAPA Expo has become an annual tradition. I’m excited about the new poker run format that includes both motorcycles and cars — that will make participation even easier! The IAAPA Foundation has an incredible mission: it supports career paths in the attractions industry through academic, hands-on, and industry-specific scholarships. It also develops programs to raise awareness of the diverse and rewarding career opportunities within our field. This ride focuses specifically on raising funds for foundation grants that can help people overcome challenges and become a valuable part of the attractions industry.”
