Prison Island Opens with Interactive Challenges in Stuttgart

(eap) A few days ago, Prison Island, a leisure venue centered around interactive team challenges and riddle-solving, opened in Stuttgart, Germany. Originally developed in Sweden, the concept has already been implemented at numerous locations across Europe – with Berlin previously being its only site in Germany. Since September 1, guests in Stuttgart have been able to put their skills to the test in 35 individually designed “cells” (rooms) featuring action games as well as fitness and skill-based challenges. The new leisure attraction was developed by French development and operating company Out 4 Blood in cooperation with Fever, a platform for live entertainment.

Depending on the challenge, skills such as logic, dexterity, physical fitness or coordination are particularly important. © Foto: Fever/PR At Prison Island Stuttgart, teams of two to five people aim to complete as many challenges as possible within their booked playing time of 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Depending on the challenge, quick reactions, coordination, logic, strategy and dexterity are required. Participants are free to choose which rooms they want to enter and play in to collect points. The concept is designed to challenge both first-time and experienced visitors while encouraging repeat visits. Modern technology, creative game design and different possible approaches to solving the challenges are intended to make every game session unique.

Mikael Bouteillon, founder of Out 4 Blood, comments: “Our mission is to bring people together through play. Prison Island combines action, logic and teamwork – creating shared experiences that people will not forget.” Prison Island is suitable for groups of friends, families, corporate events and team-building activities, with a minimum age of seven. Following the sites in Berlin and Stuttgart, further Prison Island attractions in Germany are announced for cities including Kiel, Frankfurt, Dortmund and Hamburg. ■
