ProSlide Appoints Ray Smegal as New Company President
Ray Smegal has been appointed President of ProSlide Technology.
(eap) Ottawa-based water slide manufacturer ProSlide Technology has a new President: Ray Smegal (photo), who joined ProSlide in 2007 and most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer, will take over the top position at the company. The former President, company founder Rick Hunter, is stepping down from this role but will continue to serve as CEO.
“Ray and I share the same vision for what makes ProSlide exceptional: unrelenting innovation, the highest standards of quality and performance, and a deep commitment to the success of our clients and partners. An inventor himself, Ray pioneered our award-winning RocketBLAST Water Coaster technology and has been pivotal in advancing our product roadmap. Ray is an exceptional strategic planner, team player, and leader who adds serious thrust to the already positive momentum at ProSlide. We’re excited about Ray’s appointment and the future!,” said Hunter.
Smegal is looking forward to taking over new responsibilities: “ I’m incredibly honoured to take on this role and continue building on the foundation Rick and our global team have created. In his new role, Smegal will lead the company in order to strengthen and further develop partnerships with waterparks and resorts around the world. ■
