SCOOBY-DOO! Spooky Coaster Returns to Warner Bros. Movie World

(eap) The “SCOOBY-DOO! Spooky Coaster” is back: since yesterday, visitors to Warner Bros. Movie World on Australia’s Gold Coast have once again been able to experience the iconic indoor roller coaster (a Wild Mouse by German manufacturer Mack Rides). The reopening was preceded by an extensive multi-million Australian dollar refurbishment.
“The SCOOBY-DOO! Spooky Coaster is one of our most iconic attractions with our guests loving the nostalgia of the Scooby-Doo feature films, and we are thrilled to have it return this Summer. During the ride’s temporary closure, our team have worked diligently with our partners at Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences on a major retrofit of the SCOOBY-DOO! Spooky Coaster to improve the operations and on-ride experiences of the beloved coaster. With its unique combination of dark ride elements, immersive Scooby-Doo theming, and wild twists, the SCOOBY-DOO! Spooky Coaster provides a spooky yet exhilarating experience that is unmatched in Australian theme parks. We can’t wait to introduce the SCOOBY-DOO! In addition to the return of the indoor roller coaster, visitors can also look forward to a new show this season, the “Spy Chase Stunt Show”. Furthermore, Gold Coast residents and tourists can experience the new slide tower “Zoom Zone” at the Village Roadshow Group-operated water park Wet’n’Wild (see EAP News of 15 Dec 2025). ■
