(eap) Two years ago, Therme Euskirchen opened the “Immersive Sky”, an innovative experience space that has since invited guests to engage in a form of “digital forest bathing” with the programme “Forest Bathing: Lupuna” (cf. EAP 3/2024). A second immersive “wellbeing” show – as Therme Euskirchen and the Therme Group refer to this new format of immersive wellness programmes – will now be introduced within the Immersive Sky.
Inspired by “Immersive Horizon”, a multisensory breathing journey at Therme Sinsheim, which is also part of the Therme Group portfolio, the programme “Breathing Planet” will now also be presented in an adapted form in the Immersive Sky in Euskirchen. The show has once again been developed in collaboration with the artist collective Marshmallow Laser Feast. Its concept combines art, design and calming breathing techniques to offer guests an immersive form of meditation.
Therme Euskirchen has already received multiple awards for its Immersive Sky, including the prestigious “EWA Professional Award 2024”, presented by the European Waterpark Association. The pioneering role in developing and implementing new wellbeing concepts that elevate traditional wellness and relaxation offerings to a new level is a central component of the corporate philosophy of Therme Euskirchen and the other locations of the Therme Group, which acquired the entire portfolio of the former Thermengruppe Josef Wund in December last year (cf. EAP News of 8 Dec 2025). ■
