Start of 2026 IAAPA Expo Asia in Hong Kong
(eap) Starting tomorrow, 10 June, professionals and executives from the international leisure industry will have three days to explore the show floor of IAAPA Expo Asia 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This marks the return of the trade show, organised annually in the Asia-Pacific region by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), to Hong Kong for the first time since 2018, following the previous editions in Shanghai (2025) and Bangkok (2024).
More than 300 exhibitors are presenting their latest products, innovations and solutions for leisure facilities of all kinds at this year’s edition of the trade show – with product categories ranging from major and smaller rides to operational software, F&B and merchandise items. Among the exhibiting companies are once again numerous suppliers from Europe, who are looking to advise the trade audience on their projects and offer customer-specific services.
The supporting programme accompanying the show floor includes a broad range of presentations and educational sessions on a variety of topics, including current travel trends in the Asia-Pacific region, artificial intelligence, storytelling, safety, employee recruitment and innovative experience design. For the traditional Leadership Breakfast on the morning of the second day of the show, IAAPA has this year secured Su Zhigang, Chairman of the Chinese Chimelong Group, as a speaker.

Networking opportunities include the Opening Reception on Wednesday evening at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. In addition, the “Connections Hub” is being introduced as a new format on the show floor, where leisure professionals can meet for mutual exchange and share expertise and industry knowledge.
Those wishing to discover further leisure attractions in and around Hong Kong and take a look behind the scenes will have the opportunity to participate in the so-called EDU Tours organised by the global industry association. The post-tour following the trade show will take participants to the new Qingyuan Chimelong International Forest Resort, located around 200 kilometres north of Hong Kong. The resort is positioned as a nature and animal resort, but also features rides, a show programme and a hotel. ■
