(eap) With “Dr. Molino’s Magical Circus”, the media company Studio 100 has announced a new family show. From 1 May 2027, the production is set to be shown exclusively at the “Theater De Panne”, located directly next to Plopsaland Belgium. The non-verbal production combines acrobatics, clowning and magic art, and is deliberately aimed at an international audience – regardless of age and language.

At the heart of the story is the character “Dr. Molino”, a mysterious explorer. On his travels around the world, he encounters extraordinary personalities and brings them together in a circus. The result is intended to be a visual spectacle that works entirely without language. Visitors to the Dutch theme park Efteling have already been familiar with a similar show concept for several years through “CARO” (see EAP 6/2018). Since April this year, another non-verbal illusion show, “Magicaluna”, has been shown there. For De Panne on the Belgian coast, the production is of touristic relevance, as Studio 100 aims to reach a wider international audience with the show.
“With Dr. Molino’s Magical Circus, we are creating a completely new experience within the world of Studio 100. This show is not only aimed at children, but also at teenagers, parents and grandparents. As the story is told entirely visually, it also overcomes language barriers and allows everyone to be carried away by this magical world. It will be a performance that you have to see to believe – perhaps even one of our most beautiful productions ever,” says Gert Verhulst, founder of Studio 100. ■
