(eap) In just four weeks, the new Sprudelhof Therme in the Hessian spa town of Bad Nauheim, which opened in December, has already welcomed several thousand visitors. The new spa replaces the old thermal bath, which was closed in 2015. The offerings in the new bathing oasis range from a thermal pool and an intensive brine pool to further pools (including two heated outdoor pools), a steam bath and a brine inhalation centre, which can be visited in swimwear. The SaunaGarden has also been available since the opening. Here, guests can enjoy the PanoramaSauna (75-90 °C) and a herbal sauna (50-65 °C). The tower sauna (75-90 °C) will soon be added as a further highlight. In autumn, the sauna area will be expanded with the opening of “Badehaus 2”. The building is part of the historic art nouveau ensemble of the Sprudelhof. In addition to the expansion of the sauna area (e.g. to include the Art Nouveau sauna or the rose sauna), a complete wellness area will also be added to Badehaus 2.

The new Sprudelhof Therme in Bad Nauheim, which is the largest municipal investment project by the town of Nauheim until to date, was designed by blfp Architekten as general planners. In terms of design, the Sprudelhof Therme is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau design style in which the former Sprudelhof spa complex and its associated bathhouses were built. The ticket and access system in the new bathing and health complex was supplied by Germany’s entervo-access. The Swiss company Kannewischer Management AG was commissioned to operate the Sprudelhof Therme. It now manages the site as the sixth thermal spa under the umbrella brand of “Kannewischer Collection”. ■
