Bodensee-Therme Überlingen with New Operations Manager

V.l.n.r.: Philipp Quell (GF Aquapark Management), Max Sandreuther sowie Jürgen Jankowiak (GF Stadtwerke Überlingen)

(eap) The Bodensee-Therme (Lake Constance thermal spa) in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, is starting into the coming year with a new operations manager. On January 1, 2024, Max Sandreuther will take over responsibility for the management of the thermal bath, which has been operating successfully for 20 years now. Max Sandreuther is taking over this position from Peter Koop, who wishes to take his well-deserved retirement after 14 years of successful work at the Lake Constance thermal bath. “Peter Koop has reliably managed our thermal spa on Lake Constance for almost a decade and a half. We are very grateful to him for his work and are delighted that he will continue to accompany the handover and the change in the thermal spa’s management in an advisory role,” said Philipp Quell, Managing Director of Aquapark Management, which is responsible for the operation of the Lake Constance thermal spa.

Aquapark Management had carried out an extensive application process, in which Stadtwerke Überlingen (SWÜ) was also involved as the spa owner and in which 29-year-old Max Sandreuther prevailed. Sandreuther successfully completed his business administration studies with a focus on leisure management at the Baden-Württemberg Dual University in Ravensburg, where he was able to gain in-depth knowledge in the management of spa facilities and leisure pools. In spring 2021, Sandreuther started his career at Karlsruher Bäder as assistant to the management. “I am really looking forward to managing the Lake Constance thermal bath, because I clearly see the opportunity to manage and further develop a great facility on my own responsibility. I am convinced that not only my degree, but above all my great personal passion for the leisure industry are the best prerequisites for my new job. And I am very much looking forward to continuing to position the thermal spa facility in the market with the experienced team of employees,” commented Sandreuther.

“Inspired by the uniqueness of the landscape, we have created a comprehensive feel-good concept for our guests. Our visitors expect a lot from us; the demands on the spa operations are constantly increasing, not least due to the wishes and expectations of our guests. It is therefore immensely important for us to have once again found a qualified manager for our Lake Constance team who is equally enthusiastic about the spa industry and the upcoming tasks at our thermal spa,” said Quell. ■
