TDAC Expands Team with Two Industry Experts

(eap) The Dutch consulting firm TDAC, specializing in leisure development and operations, has strengthened its team with two experienced executives: Hans Gubbels and Ton Merkx. With these new team members, the company continues its mission to provide operators, investors, and governments with independent expert advice in all areas of project development and operations – except for design and production.
Hans Gubbels will support TDAC’s growing portfolio in the museum, brand home, and visitor center sectors. After starting his career in ride technology, he has served for more than two decades as Managing Director of the Discovery Museum in the Netherlands, where he played a key role in increasing annual visitor numbers from 30,000 to around 170,000. Following his retirement from this position at the end of the year, he will bring his extensive experience from both the theme park and museum sectors to TDAC’s consulting work.
Ton Merkx joins the team with his expertise in ride maintenance, safety, and asset management. As former Global Technical Director at Merlin Entertainments, he was responsible for the technical strategy and maintenance of all ten LEGOLAND parks worldwide. He previously held senior technical positions at Efteling, Walibi, and Warner Bros. Movie World. Going forward, he will advise both new and existing operators on topics such as ride safety optimization, efficient operations, and asset management.
With the addition of these two new members, the TDAC team now consists of six consultants and a back office, further strengthening its ability to provide clients with strategic and operational expertise. ■
