Tibidabo Starts Anniversary Year: New Viewpoint & 4D Film

Tibidabo Director Rosa Ortiz (2nd f.r.), BSM President Laia Bonet (3rd f. r.), BSM General Director Marta Labata (3rd f. l.), Barcelona's Mayor Jaume Collboni (5th f.r.) and architect Josep Miàs (4th f.l.) together with colleagues and project partners at the new "Barcelona" photo spot on Tibidabo.

(eap) Barcelona’s historic amusement park Parc d’atraccions Tibidabo, located on the city’s mountain of the same name and operated by the municipal operating company Barcelona de Serveis Municipals (BSM), started into its 125th season last weekend. Visitors can discover two new features there: a panoramic viewpoint with a “Barcelona” lettering as a new photo spot as well as the new 4D park mascot film “Colors”, which is shown in the park’s “Dididado” cinema. Official anniversary celebrations are scheduled to take place in October.

The new 4D film was created in collaboration with the production studio Tigrelab, is aimed at all age groups and can be seen every day in the Dididado cinema during park opening hours. Another new offering is the “LEGO Space”, where both children and adults can create imaginative constructions with colorful building bricks. In addition, a new program is set to be performed this season at the “Marionetarium” (the park’s small marionette and puppet theatre), and towards the end of the summer guests can once again look forward to the popular laser show, which immerses Tibidabo in a special atmosphere in the evening hours through beams of light and music.

The laser show, which will be staged again later this year, could also be enjoyed by the European leisure professionals during last year's IAAPA Expo Europe opening reception at the park. © Photo: EAP-Magazin A new gastronomic offering will soon open in the historic building “La Masia” on the “Plaça del Tibidabo”, conceived by Spanish top chef Rafa Zafra. With a total capacity for up to 300 guests, the new restaurant will comprise three different areas: an indoor space, a terrace as well as a panorama room with direct views over Barcelona.

As the official anniversary event, a public hike will take place in October from the “Jardinets de Gràcia” in the city center to the Plaça del Doctor Andreu, from where participants can then take the “Cuca de Llum” funicular up to the park in order to experience a festive day with special activities and offerings.

Which new attractions other European amusement parks are presenting to their visitors this year can be found in our park report, published in the new EAP issue no. 2/2026. ■
