UAE: Microsoft Starts Partnership with Miral to Support Digital Transformation of Visitor Experiences on Yas Island

In late 2017, Abu Dhabi-based developing company Miral had already announced the digital transformation of its related theme parks and attractions located on Yas Islands, in order to provide guests with a seamlessly connected visitor experience (cf. EAP news from Dec 7th, 2017). Following the completion of the first digital transformation phase this past May (including the development of a platform of web portals and mobile apps), tech giant Microsoft has recently announced to cooperate with Miral for the implementation of the next steps. In the framework of the partnership, Miral’s multichannel customer experience platform will be built using Microsoft’s “Azure” cloud solution with PaaS (“Platform-as-a-Servce”) capabilities, providing flexibility and scalability. “Azure Identity” will form the core of “Yas ID” – a simple login solution that will allow Miral to keep connected to guests across digital touch points.

“[…] We selected Microsoft as our trusted technology partner because we have strong confidence in their solutions as well as their in-depth global experience in similar industries, which will help us achieve the sought results,” said Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral.

“[…] Through the power and security of the Microsoft Cloud, Miral will be able to use Yas ID and predictive intelligence to tailor physical and digital visitor experiences. Employees, through real-time 360-degree customer views, will be able to personalize content, communication and marketing. The actionable insights generated by the intelligent cloud will accelerate Miral’s business responsiveness to changing expectations in the marketplace […]”, explains Sayed Hashish, Regional General Manager, Microsoft Gulf.
