UAE: New LEGOLAND® Hotel for Dubai Parks and Resorts

Today, Dubai-based DXB Entertainments PJSC (DXB) leisure company and Merlin Entertainments Group (Merlin) announced to build the first LEGOLAND® hotel in the Middle East, which at the same time will be the seventh worldwide. The hotel will be located adjacent to the existing LEGOLAND® Dubai theme park, which is one of Dubai Parks and Resorts’ three parks (c.f. EAP news from December 22nd, 2016).

The new facility will feature 250 Lego-themed rooms and cover a total area of some 2.8 hectares (300,000 square feet) to expand the existing accommodation offer of Marriott’s LapitaTM Hotel to 750 rooms in total. LEGOLAND Dubai hotel is a 60:40 joint venture between DXB and the Merlin Group. Once open, the new complex will be operated by Merlin. (eap)
