(eap) France’s Parc Astérix will open its fourth hotel, “L’Odyssée”, on 26 March 2027. It will offer 300 themed rooms, including four suites and family rooms. Interior designer Thierry Retif has designed the hotel as an oriental caravanserai, drawing on the ancient culture of Persia, Egypt, Mesopotamia and Phoenicia. Of course, always with a connection to the Asterix stories. Lush vegetation is intended to create an oasis atmosphere. Two restaurants, a bar and a flexible seminar and conference area spanning 1,326 square meters will complement the offering. The hotel has already received the French sustainability certification HQE (Haute Qualité Environnementale) with an “Excellent” rating.

“With L’Odyssée, we are taking a major step in expanding our hotel offering at Parc Astérix. The hotel fully immerses guests in its themed world, offers comfort and new experiences, and turns every stay into a true journey for the senses. It is part of our investment plan, under which we will invest a total of 250 million euros by 2030 to make the park even more attractive and offer our visitors even more. With L’Odyssée, the adventure continues even after the attractions have closed. We are taking a bold step into the future – for the park and for the experience we want to offer our visitors,” says Délphine Pons, Managing Director of Parc Astérix.

According to the park, the new hotel is set to create almost 200 jobs. Parc Astérix has launched a nationwide recruitment campaign to fill these positions. In doing so, it aims to lay the foundations for a first-class hotel experience in terms of service, too. Based on two adults and two children sharing a room, an overnight stay costs 82.06 euros per person. ■
