USA: Adventureland Long Island Celebrates 60-Year-Anniversary & Fireball Opening

For the Adventureland amusement park, located on Long Island, there was every reason to celebrate last Friday (24 June). Not only does the park celebrate its 60th anniversary, but it also opened its newest attraction, “Fireball” (see also EAP news of 22 Nov. 2021) last week. The family roller coaster attraction is a Roller Ball S from the Swiss manufacturer Ride Engineers Switzerland (RES) –it’s the first installation of this type of ride in North America. As the ride’s gondolas travel along the track, they swing and sway, providing additional ride fun for passengers. (eap)
