USA: New „Ralph Breaks VR“ Hyper Reality Experience Launched at The VOID Centers

Last week saw the official release of the new “Ralph Breaks VR” hyper reality experience, produced by The VOID in partnership with ILMxLAB/Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Animation Studios. The new content, which is based on Disney’s 3D animation film “Wreck-It Ralph 2”, can be played at seven of The VOID’s Experience Centers throughout the US and Canada.

At the side of film characters “Wreck-It Ralph” and “Vanellope von Schweetz”, players virtually immerse into the inner structures of the Internet, where they see themselves as avatars (as cartoon characters from the film). In the Internet world, players have to shoot retro alien spaceships, squash pixel bugs and fend off hordes of bunnies and kitties in the “Pancake Milkshake Diner” in a race against time to see who can rack up the highest score.

The experience, from check-in to the end of the game, lasts about 30 minutes, with the virtual content being around eleven minutes long. Guests aged ten years and older and with a minimum body height of 1.20 meters (48 inches) can take part in the experience. In Orlando, “Ralph Breaks VR” can be tried out at The VOID Experience Center in Disney Springs – up until now, the center only featured the successful “Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire” hyper reality game (cf. EAP news from August 3rd, 2017). (eap)
