USA: SeaWorld Orlando Announces “Pipeline” Coaster Novelty for 2023

Following the recent announcements made by the “sister” theme parks in San Diego (CA) and San Antonio (TX) revealing their respective new major attraction for the 2023 season, Florida-based SeaWorld Orlando is now also creating enthusiasm among its fans and visitors, who can look forward to the opening of a coaster novelty next year! The new ride will be called “Pipeline” and will be a first-of-its-kind “surf coaster” by Swiss manufacturer Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), on which guests ride in an upright position as if they would be surfing on waves.

The park’s seventh roller coaster will offer a fast-paced ride experience: With a top speed of just under 100 km/h (60 mph) riders rush along the over 880-meter (2,900-feet) long track with its highest point at over 33 meters (110 feet), sensing every bank and curve. An inventive harness is designed to allow for freedom of movement. Passengers must be at least 1.35 metres (54 inches) tall to experience “Pipeline”. (eap)
