VISA International Aims to Conquer the Rollercoaster Market with Newly Created Corporate Divsion
Family Launch Coaster
The manufacturing company VISA International Srl, based in Montagnana in northern Italy (part of the SBF VISA Group), which is mainly known for its child- and family-friendly attractions, but also offers thrill rides such as rollercoasters and tower rides (see our cover story of EAP 6/2021), has established a new corporate unit: VISACOASTERS.
“The focus of this new business unit is on the development and manufacture of customized rollercoasters that go beyond our existing coaster models in terms of size and thrill level,” explains Christoph Wunderlich, who has been entrusted with sales and project management of the newly created corporate division in Europe. Previously, he had already successfully supported the SBF VISA Group for several years as their premium sales partner in the German-speaking regions and also Denmark, and played a key role in significantly driving sales here. Incidentally, Wunderlich will continue to support the group of companies with his new company CW Attractions GmbH, which was founded in late 2021. Sales and project director of VISACOASTERS is Michele Frison.
Family Boomerang Coaster
The portfolio of the new division will initially comprise three different coaster categories – the Family Launch Coaster, the Family Boomerang Coaster and the Mega Kids Coaster. The first installation of the Family Launch Coaster will be realized as early as the 2023 season, namely at Churpfalzpark in Loifling, Bavaria. The rollercoaster “Berg- und Tal Hetz”, which was announced last year for the Allgäu Skyline Park and whose opening has now been postponed to 2024, is also such a coaster model. A Family Boomerang Coaster will open for visitors during this year’s season at the Rasti-Land amusement park in Lower Saxony on the occasion of the park’s 50th anniversary under the name “Verrücktwärts”. Brand new in the supplier’s range is the Mega Kids Coaster, which offers typical elements of a mega coaster such as drops, hills, and inclined curves, but at a level suitable for children. (eap)
