With “Fuxi & Bruno”: Mountain Experiences for Families in the Lammertal
(eap) The Lammertal valley in Salzburg’s Tennengau region is one of Austria’s most popular hiking regions. In order to create an exciting new offering for families with children, the Annaberg-Lungötz Tourist Board and Bergbahnen Dachstein-West, in collaboration with playground equipment manufacturer and planning company Almholz, have developed a new adventure hiking trail.
“Fuxis Erlebnisweg” (Engl.: “Fuxi’s Experience Trail”) is scheduled to be completed in time for this year’s summer holidays, allowing young explorers and their adult companions to set off on a tour from the mountain station of the Donnerkogelbahn in Annaberg-Lungötz. Fuxi, a clever little fox, is the chief guide and leads visitors along the trail to various stations for climbing, balancing, solving puzzles and marvelling. Children follow Fuxi’s tracks, complete tasks and learn interesting facts about the local flora and fauna in a playful way.
Another experience offering awaits with “Brunos Bergwelt” (Engl.: “Bruno’s Mountain World”). The friendly bear from Russbach invites visitors to let off steam and have fun on adventure playgrounds and with water play features near the Hornbahn exit point. Brunos Bergwelt is directly connected to Fuxis Erlebnisweg via a hiking trail. To round off the summer excursion into the mountain world, family-friendly mountain huts invite visitors to linger and enjoy culinary moments.
