IAAPA Brass Ring Awards 2019: Best New Products Exhibitor Awards

Besides the leisure, entertainment and water parks, also the attraction manufacturers of the industry were awarded with the “IAAPA Brass Ring Awards“ for outstanding new products and concept ideas.

Intamin Ltd. from Liechtenstein received a Brass Ring Award for its Dueling LSM Triple Launch Coaster “Dueling Dragons“ (im Guangzhou Sunac Land, cf. EAP news of 4 Jul 2019) in the category of “Major Ride/Attraction (Product cost of US$5 million or more)“. Canada’s WhiteWater West received an award in the same category within the investment range of US$2 million to US$5 million for its attraction “Spinning Rapids Ride“ in addition to the award for “Best Water Park Ride/Attraction (Product cost of less than US$1 million)“ for the “Tailspin“ slide.

Another Brass Ring Award for “Major Ride/Attraction (Product cost less than US$2 million)“ went to Italian manufacturer Zamperla for the family thrill ride “Nebulaz“. Ride Engineers Switzerland was voted second place in this category for its roller coaster system “Rollerball M“.

The “Dueling PIPElineBLAST/FlyingSAUCER“ slide from ProSlide Technology was voted 1st place in the category of “Water Park Ride/Attraction (Product cost of US$1 million and more). ProSlide was also honoured with the “Impact Award“ for the fourth time. With Josef Wiegand GmbH’s “SlideCoaster“ a German supplier received the “Best New Product Concept Award: Major Attraction“. Also, German manufacturer VR Coaster GmbH (photo) received a Brass Ring Award for „Patron Participation Ride/Attraction” for its VR Bumper Cars (cf. EAP 6/2019).

Holovis from the UK was proud to get an award in the category of “Best New Product Concept Award: Major Ride/Attraction“ for its flying theater “Li-Fly“. The second place of the category went to Polin Waterparks from Turkey for its new slide concept “Time Rider“. Dynamic Attractions from the USA (for its innovative loading and unloading system) and Valo Motion from Finland (for its two player trampoline game “Super Stomp“) were awarded 1st and 2nd place in the category of “Technology Applied to Amusements (Product or Service used by Facilities)“.
