(eap) The result of a collaboration between entertainment provider RWS Global and production company Fred Rogers Productions (FRP) will be on display in US zoos next year: Based on the well-known animated series “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” (German: “Der kleine Tiger Daniel”), an immersive traveling exhibition has been created that aims to raise awareness of animal welfare among families and children in a playful way with entertaining and educational content. As in the children’s series, the bilingual (English and Spanish) exhibition format is designed to provide young audiences with solutions to everyday situations. On the other hand, visitors should learn interesting facts about the animal world. This is to be implemented in the form of interactive elements, among other things. There are also photo opportunities with the character Daniel and his friends. The exhibition concludes with a live show featuring the main characters from the series. Meet-and-greet opportunities and matching merchandise round off the traveling exhibition.

The first implementation of the interactive traveling exhibition will take place at New York City’s Bronx Zoo in summer 2026. “We’re honored that the Bronx Zoo will be the first stop for Daniel Tiger’s traveling exhibit. For more than a century, families have come to the Bronx Zoo to connect with wildlife and spark curiosity that lasts a lifetime,” said Meghann Kelley-DiSalvo, Director of Marketing, Wildlife Conservation Society. “Daniel Tiger brings a message of imagination, learning, and discovery that aligns beautifully with our mission, and we’re thrilled to be where this new adventure begins.” ■
