17 million guests at Swarovski Crystal Worlds

Family Hupp from Bavaria were welcomed as the 17 millionth visitors to Swarovski Kristallwelten.

(eap) Swarovski Kristallwelten in Wattens, Austria, recently welcomed its 17 millionth visitor. Since its opening in October 1995, the internationally popular destination has been presenting the magic of crystals in artistic chambers of wonder and the garden landscape.

“We are delighted that we can celebrate 17 million guests here in Wattens today and it is proof that the attraction of Swarovski Crystal Worlds remains unbroken even after 29 years,” says Managing Director Stefan Isser. “The visitor experience of each individual guest is at the heart of everything we do. This includes the artistic moments of wonder as well as the measures in the background that ensure a carefully designed, sustainable and meaningful experience.”

In addition, Swarovski Kristallwelten was recently re-certified with the Austrian Ecolabel as a “Green Museum” and “Green Event Location”. This recognition honors the commitment to environmentally conscious action and sustainable practices. With 100% electricity from renewable energy sources, the option of environmentally friendly travel, e-charging stations and numerous flower meadows in the gardens to preserve biodiversity, Kristallwelten can boast many aspects of sustainability.

The first highlight of the annual program is just around the corner: the “Circus of Wonder” with the Circus-Theatre Roncalli will take place in summer, bringing entertaining performances and circus air to Wattens once again. At the end of November, after a short closure, guests can look forward to two new Chambers of Wonder. ■
