(eap) Tomorrow is the day: Movie Park Germany in Bottrop-Kirchhellen will celebrate its official anniversary event marking 30 years of Hollywood in Germany. In addition to extended opening hours and a wide-ranging entertainment program featuring live music, entertainment and an anniversary film, guests can look forward to the official premiere of the new “Movie Park’s Parade of Celebration”.
The more than 20-minute parade will feature new themed floats, fresh choreography and costumes as well as a specially produced soundtrack. “The Movie Park Parade has been one of the park’s signature family experiences since its debut in 1996,” says Managing Director Thorsten Backhaus. “In our anniversary year, we therefore took the opportunity to redesign and expand the parade, making it distinctively American in style, and giving this special tradition a meaningful new chapter. The new anniversary parade is a true tribute to our history and identity – reimagined with modern energy and a clear commitment to the movie magic and Hollywood spirit that define Movie Park.”
For the realization of the anniversary parade, the park worked together with several creative companies. The Belgium-based in-house production company Kabuki oversaw the development of the parade floats from the initial technical design through to physical implementation. Each new float features integrated lighting, cinematic elements and details intended to underline the park’s immersive storytelling. In addition to these new creations, Kabuki also renovated and rethemed existing parade floats at Movie Park in order to ensure a uniform visual identity for the entire parade line-up and bring Movie Park’s cinematic world to life.
In addition to new Hollywood-glamour outfits created in collaboration with the American Full Stop Costume Studio, a new soundtrack rounds off the show program. For the musical accompaniment, the park worked with its long-standing partner IMAscore. The children’s DJ and singer Nilsen provided the fitting soundtrack for the family-oriented part of the parade.
In addition to the new parade, further new entertainment offerings, activities and the new attraction “Journey to the Forbidden Chamber” await visitors in the anniversary year (read more about the new offering and 30 years of Movie Park in EAP 3/2026). ■
