Movie Park Opens “Journey to the Forbidden Chamber”

(eap) Even more Hollywood flair at Movie Park Germany: As part of a preview held today, just before the official opening, the theme park in Bottrop-Kirchhellen, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, offered initial insights into the new attraction “Journey to the Forbidden Chamber”. For the new experience, the former “The Lost Temple” attraction has been extensively converted and redesigned. Guests move from scene to scene now like extras and become part of a fictional film production.

As part of a partnership between operator group Parques Reunidos and Paramount Pictures, a multimedia film studio experience featuring various sets, props and show elements has been created. “In addition to our existing licensed attractions based on well-known films and series, we are now very proud to integrate one of the world’s most famous film studios into the park,” emphasises Managing Director Thorsten Backhaus. “Paramount Pictures Studios are not only synonymous with spectacular filming and numerous major film productions. They are a symbol of Hollywood itself, which fits perfectly with Movie Park’s identity.”

More about the new attraction and 30 years of Movie Park Germany can be found in the current EAP issue 3/2026. ■
