Alton Towers: Nemesis Sub-Terra Reopening

Alton Towers: Nemesis Sub-Terra Reopening

(eap) After the revamped dark ride “The Curse at Alton Manor” (Mack Rides) was handed over to visitors at the English Alton Towers Resort in March this year, the reopening of the “Nemesis Sub-Terra” free fall tower will follow shortly. After its closing eight years ago, the attraction, a drop tower dark ride from ABC Rides that originally opened in 2012, is scheduled to reopen next Saturday, May 27. As part of the makeover, the attraction has received a new branding, including a logo, which is designed to go together with the “Nemesis” roller coaster.

The park’s inverted coaster, which closed last November, is also currently undergoing a major overhaul and is slated for a reopening to visitors in 2024. Part of the modernization is the replacement of a total of 716 meters of track. The first track sections have already been delivered, showing that the formerly white tracks will be replaced by black ones adorned with twining red veins. Visitors can observe the construction work on the roller coaster from an observation platform specially built for this purpose in the park. ■
