Attention! Application Day for Karls Erlebnis-Dorf Oberhausen

(eap) Karls continues its expansion: the popular leisure brand is set to open its first Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in North Rhine-Westphalia. The new location is planned right next to the Westfield Centro shopping and leisure complex, on the site of the former CentrO Park in Oberhausen. Construction work has already begun, with the first excavators preparing the ground for the new strawberry-themed experience world, which is scheduled to open next year.

Even at this early stage – and this is one of Karls’ distinctive features – the company is already focusing on staffing for the Oberhausen site. Recruiting and employee care are among the core values of the Karls Erlebnis-Dörfer, operated by the Dahl family. Therefore – attention all jobseekers! – a special recruitment day will be held on August 27, with which the company aims to attract potential new team members, also known as “Karlsianer.” More than 150 positions are to be filled in the areas of retail, gastronomy, manufactories, and attractions. The day will begin with a meet-and-greet for all those who have submitted applications in advance. An open job casting will then follow from 2 p.m. onwards, open to anyone interested – no prior registration or application documents required.

Karls has long relied on creative recruiting strategies. According to Ulrike Dahl, Head of HR at Karls, the recruitment day is now an established format used at all the company’s locations. With an informative applicant parcourse, short interviews, a Q&A station about working at Karls, and a low-threshold approach, the company aims to specifically attract new Karlsianer. Ulrike Dahl offers further insights into Karls’ successful recruitment philosophy in her book “Karls Personal-Geheimnisse: Wie du Top-Talente für Dein Unternehmen findest und bindest” (“Karls’ HR Secrets: How to Attract and Retain Top Talents for Your Business”). ■
