Bodensee-Therme Überlingen Introduces Dynamic Pricing

(eap) Germany’s Bodensee-Therme Überlingen, located directly on the shores of Lake Constance, has introduced a new demand-based pricing model. Following the principle of “the earlier you book, the better the price”, admission fees will now be recalculated daily. Prices remain unchanged throughout the day and cannot decrease retroactively, which provides guests with the best-price guarantee.

“With the new demand-based prices, we are creating choice and transparency. Guests who plan ahead benefit from particularly attractive conditions and can be sure to always receive the best price. At the same time, we can manage peak times more effectively, thereby improving the overall guest experience,” explains Max Sandreuther, Operations Manager of Bodensee-Therme Überlingen.

The model was implemented by the Swiss company Pricenow, with the existing ticketing software from n-tree solutions serving as the interface. An increasing number of leisure and spa facilities are adopting dynamic pricing models. Further insights into pricing strategies beyond the long-established Pay-One-Price model (POP) can be found in the latest EAP 5/2025 issue as well as in the trend article on dynamic pricing in the leisure industry published in EAP 5/2021. ■
