British Film Institute Named Cultural Advisor for London Paramount Project

As London Resort Company Holdings (LRCH) announced on Tuesday, the British Film Institute (BFI) – a British non-profit organization, which is responsible for encouraging the development and promotion of the British arts of film, television and the moving image – to provide strategic cultural counsel for the “London Paramount” entertainment resort project in North Kent (cp. EAP news from March 14, 2015). The agreement will see the BFI act as a cultural adviser to the multi-billion pound project, for which it will provide strategic input on how British films and talent can be best integrated into the entertainment resort. Furthermore, the BFI will ensure that the UK’s acclaimed film industry plays a central role at the world-class entertainment resort. Moreover, it will help to win a new international audience for the British cinema. (eap)
