Center Parcs Nordborg Draws a Positive Balance For First Operations Year
(eap) Center Parcs Nordborg, located in the southern Danish region of Sønderborg (cf. EAP 5/2025), is celebrating its first anniversary and has drawn a positive balance: In its first year of operation, the holiday park welcomed more than 160,000 guests and recorded over 450,000 overnight stays. According to the company, the resort has thus established itself within a short period of time as a destination for different target groups – including families, couples, groups of friends, nature holidaymakers and international guests.
Interest from German visitors is said to be particularly strong. “We have achieved our ambitious target in the first year and are particularly proud of the strong interest from our German guests. The positive response shows that Nordborg Resort is excellently tailored to the needs of the German market and is attracting new target groups to the region,” says Gitte Hoeg Andersen, Sales & Marketing Manager of the holiday park resort.
Alongside Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium are also among the most important visitors markets. In addition, the resort also welcomed guests from the United Arab Emirates, Israel, the USA and Great Britain. Also notable is the high repeat-visit rate: Many guests returned several times in the first year, in some cases even three or four times. Hoeg Andersen expresses her satisfaction: “The fact that so many of our guests visited us several times within one year shows us how comfortable they feel here and how well Nordborg Resort meets their expectations.”
The tourism region of Sønderborg has reportedly benefited from the development of the resort. In 2025, a total of 1,719,818 overnight stays were recorded there, corresponding to an increase of 16.3 percent compared with the previous year. For the first time, the one-million mark for foreign overnight stays was also exceeded. Leisure facilities in the region recorded growth of 14 percent. As a further milestone, the holiday park operator cites the “DGNB GOLD certification”, which the resort received last year (cf. EAP news 17 Dec 2025). ■
