(eap) Center Parcs Nordborg Resort in Denmark, which recently celebrated its first anniversary and reported positive results for the twelve months since its opening (see EAP news of 22 June 2026), is expanding its range of activities with a virtual snorkelling experience.
In one of the pools within the holiday resort’s water park and bathing complex, guests equipped with a VR headset and snorkel will be able to swim around and explore a variety of virtual worlds. The available content brings fantasy settings with titles such as “Atlantis”, “Titanic” and “Shark Attack” to life, inviting users to discover their surroundings. In addition, “Gold Rush” and “Pirates” will offer two interactive VR games in which snorkelling guests can not only explore virtual worlds but also actively collect points, for example by searching for gold coins and picking them up by directing their gaze towards them. There will be a total of five VR goggles available for the new experience offer.
The Dutch provider Virtual Reality Slide is the partner behind the new experience. The virtual snorkelling sessions are designed to last around five minutes. The minimum age for participation is six, and basic swimming skills are also required. ■
