(eap) Cigoland, a leisure park located in Alsace (in the municipality of Kintzheim), which already started into its season on 25 March, has two novelties up its sleeve for its visitors this summer. To draw attention to the theme of the forest and its inhabitants, in the second half of June the park will open “La Forêt enchantée”, an enchanted forest covering more than 1,000 square meters, where guests can discover, among other things, three small carousels (mechanically driven) with gondolas in the shape of animals and fairy-like characters (manufactured by the Planète Vapeur company) and several play and learning stations (implemented by the companies AD Production, Les Bois d’Olivier, Bête à Bois and Entreprise Collectivité). Information can also be accessed here by guests in German and English via smartphone using QR codes. The new area has been created where the aging miniature golf course was previously located.

In early July the opening of a new water slide will follow, which will be built very close to the “MarOjeux” water play area, opened in 2021, thus expanding the “Cigoplage” area, which is particularly popular with guests in the warmer months. The double-lane slide starts from a 4.5-meter-high platform and is 25 meters long. The attraction is built by the Turkish company Polin Waterparks. New changing cabins in the beach area will offer parents the opportunity to change their children protected from the eyes of others. An extension of the existing snack bar will also enhance the culinary offer in this area. ■
