Denmark: Danfoss Universe Presents the Human Body in 4D

The science and theme park Danfoss Universe, opened in Nordborg in 2005 (cf. EAP 4/2005), added a new 4D motion theater to its attractions this season. The new “Stargazer 4D Motion Theater” from Simworx was installed in an existing building and is equipped with four 6 DOF dynamic hydraulic motion bases accommodating seven passengers each. Thus, 28 persons can enjoy the 4D experience at the same time. The film is played through a Panasonic digital circular polarizing 3D projection system, while 4D effects like wind, water spray, bubbles, smoke, lighting and 5.1 surround sound complement the experience. The film being shown is called “Journey through the Body” and takes visitors on an exciting trip through the human body. “Finding the right vendor is not just about product, it’s also about trust and about faith and we have not been disappointed with Simworx. Throughout the process we have been met with a professional attitude and dedication even though we are quite a small park. We have never doubted that Simworx sincerely wanted us to succeed,” explains Jakob Kragelund, Danfoss Universe’s Head of IT and Projects. (eap)
