Disneyland Paris: Opening Date for “World of Frozen” Announced

(eap) On 29 March 2026, the new themed area “World of Frozen” – and with it the redesigned Walt Disney Studios Park, which will in future bear the name Disney Adventure World – will open at Disneyland Paris®. With the transformation, the area of the second Disney park in Paris will nearly double.

In the World of Frozen, the story surrounding the popular Disney film “Frozen” will be brought to life. Similar to the existing Frozen attractions and themed lands in international Disney parks –  “Frozen Ever After” at EPCOT (USA), “Frozen Kingdom” with “Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey” at Tokyo DisneySea (Japan), as well as “World of Frozen” with “Frozen Ever After” at Hong Kong Disneyland) –, the European theme park will also feature a boat ride attraction called “Frozen Ever After”. Moreover, fans of Elsa, Anna & co. can look forward to a “Royal Encounter” (character meet & greet) in the castle of Arendelle, a new 15-minute show entitled “A Celebration in Arendelle”, which will be performed several times a day as part of the “Snowflower Festival” on the three-hectare, man-made lake “Arendelle Bay”, the “Nordic Crown Tavern” dining offer as well as various shops. Olaf, the popular snowman from the film, will also appear in Arendelle in the form of a newly developed robotic figure. Shortly before park closing, a new evening show will take place on Arendelle Bay: “Disney Cascade of Lights”, which will feature fireworks, water projections, drone choreographies and special effects.

The newly created “Adventure Way” will in future connect the original part of the Walt Disney Studios Park with the new themed worlds. Along this new main axis, visitors will discover 14 gastronomic offers, including “The Regal View Lounge”, the first bar in one of the two Disney parks in Paris. Designed themed gardens, live entertainment and two new attractions are intended to round off the experience. The new attractions include, on the one hand, the teacup carousel “Raiponce Tangled Spin”, inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Tangled”, and on the other hand a wave swinger inspired by the Pixar film “Up”. The latter is set to open a little later. Also, under construction this autumn is the first “Lion King” themed area, which will expand Adventure World later (see EAP News of 12 Aug 24). ■
