Europabad Karlsruhe Confirms Quality Standards

(eap) Germany’s Europabad Karlsruhe has once again been confirmed in its “Wellness Stars 5-Star” certification as well as with the “SaunaPremium” quality seal. “These renewed awards are a great recognition of the continuous work of our entire team,” emphasizes Oliver Sternagel, Managing Director of Karlsruher Bäder. “Especially during the cold season, our wellness and sauna areas invite guests to escape everyday life and recharge their batteries. Europabad and EuropaSpa offer the best conditions for this.”

The Wellness Stars certification is awarded by the Stuttgart-based company Wellness Stars Deutschland. To obtain the quality seal, an assessment is carried out based on around 400 different criteria. The evaluation takes place through a personal inspection by a trained auditor. In the wellness area, aspects examined include, among others, the wellness facilities and equipment, the implementation of wellness treatments, the qualifications of the staff, and the service philosophy of the facility. Equally considered are authenticity, wellness expertise, holistic offerings, as well as aspects of regionality and sustainability. In addition, the certified establishments are regularly reviewed by independent testers from TÜV Rheinland as part of a “mystery check”. Here, too, the focus of the review lies on quality assessment of the spa, wellness, and treatment areas. This is intended to ensure consistent quality across the facilities.

Karlsruhe sees itself as the only city in Germany to have achieved the 5-star certification with two municipally operated baths: In addition to Europabad, Therme Vierordtbad also received this highest certification. Furthermore, Europabad was once again awarded the SaunaPremium quality seal. This certificate represents the highest level issued by the German Sauna Association since 2008. It confirms a broad range of offerings, high quality of stay, and excellent standards in the areas of facilities, infusion culture, hygiene, and service. A quality seal of the German Sauna Association e.V. is awarded upon application exclusively to its members. ■
