(eap) The Europabad Karlsruhe leisure and family pool in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany, which is operated by the Karlsruher Bädergesellschaft, was closed for just under three weeks last month due to renovation works. A total of around two million euros was invested in the measures, which include the implementation of a new cash register system from the Austrian company n-tree. Instead of the previous plastic chips, visitors now receive a wristband, which can also be used to book sauna visits and meals. As part of this, the lockers were also replaced.

In addition, 64 showers and the associated drinking water network were renewed. Accessibility in the leisure pool complex was also improved, with the sliding doors between the showers and changing rooms now opening at the touch of a button. Work was also carried out on the swimming pools. Here, the water filters in all pools were equipped with UV systems to improve the water quality, while at the same time having to use fewer chemicals. Furthermore, a new sauna heater was installed in the Schwyzhuus sauna. The relaxation rooms as well as the entrance area of the bathing facility were partially given a new colour scheme. ■
