Freizeitpark Plohn to Open New Max & Moritz Family Ride Next Saturday

(eap) In only a few days, the time has come: On 10 June, Germany’s Freizeitpark Plohn (Saxony) will open a new ride attraction for visitors called “Max & Moritz”. The new family ride has been created in the existing area of the Plohni village around the picture story of German poet and illustrator Wilhelm Busch. The new attraction is a so-called horse ride from Metallbau Emmeln, whose nearly 200-meter-long track winds through the newly created “Max & Moritz” village. The lovingly scenery, designed down to the last detail, is brought to life by characters from the Bad Rodach company Hofmann. The ten ride vehicles were individually designed as farm animals (including donkey, rooster and pig). The park invested over one million euros in the creation of the new attraction, which was realized in a construction period of about nine months.

Last weekend, the family amusement park in the Vogtland region, which celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2021, was pleased to receive the planting of a tree of honor by representatives of the FKF (Freundeskreis Kirmes und Freizeitparks e.V.). Since 2007, the largest and oldest association on the subject of funfairs and amusement parks in Germany, with over 1,600 members, has been planting trees in selected amusement parks. With this symbolic gesture, the association aims to honor the many years of cooperation between the FKF and the park. Due to the pandemic, the on-site honoring ceremony in Plohn was postponed by two years to 2023. ■
