German Premiere for LEGO® Jurassic World: The Exhibition in Oberhausen

Of course, the T-Rex – the favorite dinosaur of many Jurassic World fans – is a must-see at the exhibition.

(eap) On 19 November 2026, “LEGO® Jurassic World: The Exhibition” will make its German debut at OBEX Oberhausen. Following stops in Australia, Brazil, Spain, Sweden, Finland and the USA, fans of the popular building brick brand will also be able to experience the exhibition in Germany. LEGO designer and LEGO Certified Professional Ryan “The Brickman” McNaught and his team created the models using more than six million LEGO bricks.

Over 50 dinosaur models will bring stories and settings from the Jurassic World universe to life. Fans can expect to recognize numerous elements from the film franchise by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment: visitors will pass through the iconic four-metre-high Jurassic World gate before exploring the island of Nuba with its genetics laboratory, where the dinosaurs are created, visiting a baby dinosaur enclosure and encountering escaped Velociraptors. Designed as an interactive adventure, the exhibition combines the dinosaur models with elaborate props and scenes as well as various hands-on stations.

Highlights will include more than 18 life-size LEGO dinosaurs. Among them is the Baryonyx, one of the exhibition’s newest dinosaur models. Measuring five metres long, over 1.5 metres wide and 2.5 metres high, the carnivore consists of 102,317 LEGO bricks and weighs 400 kilograms. The team spent 790 hours designing and building it.

“German fans will be thrilled by the size and scale of the exhibition – some of our models are among the most complex and challenging we have ever built. It is fantastic to be able to show them in Germany now, too. We developed new techniques and invested thousands of hours in creating them – which is why I am particularly proud of these models,” says Ryan McNaught.

FKP Scorpio Entertainment, the operator of OBEX, is organizing the exhibition in cooperation with Brickman®, Ryan McNaught’s Australian design and events company.

Commenting on the forthcoming German premiere, Folkert Koopmans, Managing Director of FKP Scorpio Entertainment, says: “It is fantastic to bring this exhibition to Oberhausen and offer our audience two experience worlds running alongside each other at OBEX. Dinosaurs and LEGO bricks are an unbeatable combination – and we are very happy to now share this visually sophisticated experience, created with great attention to detail and already enjoyed by more than 1.2 million visitors worldwide, with LEGO fans of all ages from across Germany.” ■
