Germany: Aquapark Oberhausen Planning a New Children’s Water Area

Aquapark Oberhausen opened in 2009 at the marina in Oberhausen. The park is now looking to improve and expand its facilities designed specifically for kids aged three to ten. The plans involve building a new water area that is home to the Aquapark’s mascot, a mole named “Grabbi”. The preliminary planning is examining the possibility of adding three water slides and a one-meter deep pool, integrated into a water play area featuring newly created meadows and ponds. The area will also have a special USP with its children’s steam bath. As soon as they are completed the plans will be presented to Aquapark owner Oberhausener Gebäudemanagement GmbH (OGM). (eap)
